Kazakhstan’s tennis star
Elena Rybakina has stated that winning
a Porsche is her motivation this year. The 24-year-old is currently taking
part in the
Stuttgart Open where the winning prize includes a Porsche car as well.
The current world number four has kept her hopes alive of
winning the luxurious car as she defeated the reigning world number one Iga
Swiatek in the semifinal with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Rybakina was recently
quoted in a report where she stated that one of her objectives this year is to
get a driver's license and that winning the Porsche car remains her motivation.
“I wanted to do it [getting a driving license] already for a
long time,” she said. “But I never have the chance to be at one place for long.
I did already a couple of lessons. I was driving, but yeah, for sure that's the
goal for this year outside of the court. And with this car, if I win, it's
going to be one double goal. Hopefully, I finish it this year.”
Rybakina is now set to face off against Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk in
the final of the mega-event on Sunday. It will be only the third meeting between
the two players. In the previous two meetings, both players managed to win a single
fixture, each.
