Madison Keys tied the knot this weekend with Bjorn Fratangelo, former world No. 99, in a ceremony attended by several WTA stars. The wedding took place in Charleston on Saturday, November 23, with Jessica Pegula, Sloane Stephens, and Taylor Townsend among the guests.
The American tennis couple, who have been together since 2017, announced their engagement in 2023, culminating in Saturday’s celebration. Fratangelo has stepped away from his professional career to focus on coaching Keys during the 2024 season.

A star-studded wedding with WTA guests

Photos from the ceremony circulated on social media, including images shared by some of the guests. Among them were world No. 6 Jessica Pegula, former US Open champion Sloane Stephens, 2021 Australian Open runner-up Jennifer Brady, and French Open doubles champion Taylor Townsend.
In 2023, shortly after their engagement, Madison Keys shared details about Fratangelo’s proposal. "He actually did it at home the day I got back from Dubai, so I was not expecting it at all," she said. "I was sitting on the couch, and he was like, ‘Hey, I have your birthday present.’ He handed me something and then got down on one knee. Just sitting on the couch, so now we have to keep the couch forever."
"As tennis players, we don’t have a lot of time and weekends that could potentially work," Keys added about planning the wedding. "So we’re trying to nail down one very specific day and hope things work out."
Keys finished the season ranked world No. 21 with a 24-12 record after dealing with several injuries. Despite lacking consistency, she claimed the title at the WTA 500 Strasbourg Open and reached the semifinals at the Madrid Open (WTA 1000) and Eastbourne (WTA 500).
