Chris Evert and
Billie Jean King contested the 1973 Wimbledon final with the latter winning the match in straight sets and King recalled the occasion.
That final was an interesting one because it didn't take place on the day it was supposed. There was rain and people had to wait until the decision was made to postpone it to the next day. Evert and King made the decision to entertain the crowd as they waited and King posted a photo from that day with a caption that said:
"Keeping fans happy & engaged is vital to the success of the sport. The 1973 Wimbledon singles final was on a rain delay. Chrissie Evert and I made it our mission to cheer up the crowds while they waited. The match was moved to the following day."
