Aryna Sabalenka managed to outlast Camila Osorio in a very tricky
Madrid Open matchup beating her in two straight sets 6-4 7-5.
The Belarusian is a former champion of this event having won it in the past and she's looking fairly decent this year as well. It was a tough match, one where she faced a lot of issues against the tricky Osorio. Sabalenka took an early lead in the first set 2-0 but the Colombian was able to take the break back and even put herself in front 4-3.
Still, Sabalenka kept playing her game and overwhelmed Osorio snatching the first set away from her 6-4. The second set saw Sabalenka take a pretty commanding lead 4-1 thanks to her superb ball striking which was too much for Osorio at times. The Colombian never gives up and she was able to pull back one of the breaks.
When Sabalenka stepped up to serve out the match at 5-4, Osorio broke back once more to make it 5-5 but she couldn't do much more as Sabalenka broke once more and finished it off 7-5.
