"Look at the things that have been done before she makes comments": Azarenka hits back on comments made by Swiatek about more needing to be done surrounding Ukrainian players

Victoria Azarenka pushed back against the comments made by Iga Swiatek where she claimed that not as much has been done for Ukrainian players as opposed to Russian and Belarusian ones.

Swiatek came out with some strong words after she was asked about Tsurenko withdrawing from the Indian Wells due to a panic attack. She explained how admirable the attitude of Ukrainian players is because if a bomb landed in Poland she would have been completely distraught by it. She pushed back ahead of Miami explaining that she disagrees with some of her views:

"Obviously, there are certain players that have different feelings and behaviours. Overall, I don’t necessarily share the same opinion as Iga does. I would encourage her to look at the things that have been done before she makes comments. Obviously, as a player council (member), I am happy to provide all those facts that have been done. And I think that would be a more appropriate way to have that conversation."

Azarenka was indirectly called out by Swiatek with her comments as she as a Belarusian player was supported more than Ukraininans according to Swiatek, something Azarenka would not agree with.
