Elena Rybakina talked about Iga Swiatek during her
Miami Open run noting that she was simply unlucky with the injury coming at a time when she plays well.
Swiatek's start to the season hasn't been as good as that of Rybkina or Sabalenka with the Kazakhstani player beating her this year but she still praised her for her start to the season explaining that it's quite good. The injury was deemed unlucky by Rybakina but she'll recover and be back eventually:
"Iga, she did really well last year, but even this year I think she's playing really well. Just unlucky with injury."
On her own impressive play in Miami which got her fairly close to completing the Sunshine double, Rybakina said:
"Now we just trying to keep this level with some blocks of preparation if we have time. Yeah, for now it's going this way, but we don't know how it's gonna be after. Yeah, hopefully I can continue like this, but for sure it's gonna come the day when I'm gonna lose. Doesn't really change much."
She doesn't feel pressure to do it though:
"For sure I don't have any pressure. I know that it's very difficult and not many players did. Plus I was match point down the other match, so I really don't think so far in the draw."
