Serena Williams advanced to the next round of Australian Open following a straight-set victory over Nina Stojanovic.
It was a rather straightforward match for Serena who defeated Nina in straight sets and advanced to the next round of the Australian Open. Serena took control of the match early taking a 3-1 lead and from there just rolled towards a 6-3 6-0 finish.
After the match Serena said:
"She pushed me very hard and I think she played really well, honestly, throughout the whole match. So I had to really fight for all the games. I wasn't thinking so much in the second as I was in the first; I kind of just let go and see what happened.”
Her next opponent will be Anastasia Potapova whom he already beat in Melbourne last year. Speaking on that match Serena said:
"It's always a fun, interesting match (against Potapova). Gonna go home, get ready and just do the best."
She closed out the interview by underlining her hapiness of just being able to play tennis competitively:
“We're all out here to have fun and I'm happy to be out here, and just to be playing in front of crowd again is really cool. So every day is just fun."
