Iga Swiatek is back to chasing balls on the court as the Polish player is preparing for her charity match for Ukraine.
Swiatek elected to stage a charity match to help the people of Ukraine feeling compelled to help. She's been fairly vocal about her support for Ukraine in the situation playing with a pin on her hat in the colours of Ukraine ever since the invasion started. She also confirmed she will continue to wear it until the situation resolves.
Until that happens, she is determined to help in any way she can. On July 23rd she will play a charity match in Krakow against her idol and longtime friend Agnieszka Radwanska. She also invited Ukrainian tennis players Elina Svitolina and Sergiy Stakhovsky to the event and they will take part in it as well.
Svitolina will actually serve as the match umpire for the event. Preparations are already underway with the duo already practising together.
