Swiatek smashes Samsonova while Gauff advances with a walkover in Dubai

Iga Swiatek smashes yet another opponent as Samsonova had no chance of losing 6-1 6-0 in Dubai where Gauff advanced thanks to a walkover as well.

Iga Swiatek proved a destructive force once more as the Polish player smashed Samsonova leaving her only one game. She keeps destroying opponents as it if were the easiest thing to do and nobody is really challenging her. Samsonova is a very streaky player who needs to find a good rhythm in order to play well and she couldn't do that against Swiatek.

She would get very aggressive balls from the start and it never left her enough time to set up properly. She tried to match her opponent with more power but most of those balls sailed wide. Just a crazy level right now, not more to add. She will be joined by Coco Gauff in the next round as the American advanced thanks to a walkover.
