With a return on the horizon, WTA icon Venus Williams has been reminiscing about her time on the tennis court and fans are eagerly awaiting her return.
Although the clay-court season has kicked off in earnest, Williams is yet to announce her return date. Nonetheless, the seven-time Grand Slam champion appears to be itching to return to the court, as she retweeted a highlight from a thrilling victory over Martina Hingis at Warsaw in 2006.
"I had full lower body cramps in this match!” wrote Williams of the 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 Warsaw win. “It was dramatic. We always had the craziest battles!”
Williams has yet to take to the court following her appearance at Auckland in January, with her last victory coming over Katie Volynets to reach the round of 16.
