Victoria Azarenka expected to hit top level in 2020

Former world number 1 and 2-time Australian Open champion, Victoria Azarenka broke back into Top 15 of the WTA Rankings in 2020.

The experienced Belorussian has won her first title after 4 years and she has won 18 of the 24 matches she played. Moreover, she finished the season as the 13th woman in the world and she says that it was not a surprise to her.

“I can’t say that it was a big surprise for me to come back to this level because I have great confidence in my abilities and I know what I can do in good physical conditions. It is obvious that the last few years have been difficult. I could not assume that these good results would arrive and I could not expect anything particularly brilliant from me, but I have maintained the level necessary to be an important tennis player and to achieve great success”, said Azarenka to CGTN Sports.
