After quietly saying goodbye to tennis a few months ago, Italian tennis star Camila Giorgi has given fans a glimpse at one of her new ventures, as she delves into the world of food blogging.
The 33-year old enjoyed a successful career on the WTA Tour, reaching a career-high ranking of World No.26. Prior to leaving the world of tennis, Giorgi won four career titles, with her biggest trophy coming at the 2021 Canada Open in Montreal.
The Italian has picked up new hobbies with tennis now behind her, including cooking and fashion. In a short video posted to Instagram, Giorgi showed off her culinary expertise, alongside boyfriend Ramiro Marra. The couple live in Buenos Aires, following her retirement from the WTA.
"Tennis? Door closed forever," revealed Giorgi in a recent interview. "My boyfriend? I met him in his office and it was love at first sight. Is there a possibility of your return to the world one day? Never, when I close a door I never open it again. I have wanted to quit for years, the life of a tennis player is a hard one.
"I put it off for a long time then, in May, one morning I decided, I told my father. He was happy, he has always been on my side. It is not true that he is a domineering father, he is very understanding and we have always gotten along very well."
