With both ladies suddenly thrust into the spotlight, it comes as a surprise that Paula Badosa and Emma Raducanu were trying to make a name for themselves on the Futures circuit barely two years ago.
Badosa just lifted the biggest title of her career at Indian Wells last weekend, while Raducanu shocked the world by winning her maiden Grand Slam at the US Open last month, as a qualifier no less. However, both women have been grinding on the tour for years, and their efforts have obviously paid off.
Footage emerged of the duo battling it out at a Futures event in April 2019, with the future champions playing at an incredibly high level, even while competing at the juniors stage.
