Former World No.1 Serena Williams is making the most out of her retirement, as she continues to spend more time with her family in life after tennis.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion enjoys posting videos of herself and her family engaging in different activities on social media, and recently shared a clip of her daughter Olympia undoing Williams' braids.
Williams shares a strong bond with her five-year old daughter, and the duo are often pictured enjoying wonderful moments together. On Wednesday, the WTA great posted a video on TikTok showing a clip of Olympia undoing her mother's braids. The 41-year-old icon is seen recording herself sitting calmly while her daughter undoes her braids with a pencil.
Earlier this year, Williams revealed her second pregnancy at the 2023 MET Gala, captivating attendees with her elegant black dress that beautifully highlighted her baby bump.
Mum Serena Williams says of her young daughter: "Maybe I can push her into tennis by getting other kids to have a group lesson, I think that's what I'm gonna do...I really want her to play at least a little bit, because she's actually really good at it." You're doomed to failure, Serena, if you think you can 'push' your child into tennis. So many parents have tried steering their offspring into various pastimes and sports at which they [the parents] excelled. Encourage them in a particular direction by all means, but that's all you can do. If your daughter instead shows an aptitude for chess or ice skating, Serena, then embrace it. And if the child should show an aptitude for tennis, just imagine the additional pressure she'll be under, simply because she IS your daughter. A twin-edged sword, I fear.
What is wrong with you people? You think there are so many whom truly give a shit about her and her family's lives? She was a whining, disrespectful, vulgar, elitist, self-righteous person on the courts... and far too many times to have that not affect her "legacy".
