Elina Svitolina made her comeback official on Saturday in Strasbourg winning her first trophy since her comeback following the pregnancy last year.
The Ukranian player made her comeback at the Charleston Open a few weeks ago and then slowly worked her way into shape becoming better with every week. The player made the decision to play in Strasbourg in hopes of getting a few matches ahead of Roland Garros where she had some good runs in the past.
The decision proved a good one as she was able to win a few matches and make her way to the final. In the final on Saturday, Svitolina took down Anna Blinkova in straight sets to lift the trophy.

Donating the prize money

During the trophy ceremony, Svitolina confirmed that she will donate all of the prize money won at the event to the kids of Ukraine which isn't a surprise. Svitolina has been at the forefront of many charitable actions during her pregnancy travelling to the country as well as meeting with the president.
It's been a focus of hers because her hometown of Odesa has been one of the cities directly affected by the war with air strikes and drone strikes happening pretty much regularly since the start of the war.
