Iga Swiatek could lose her number number one after this year's Roland Garros and she wasn't even aware of that until reporters asked her about it.
Iga Swiatek was the undisputed number one player in the world last year however a few lacklustre results this year made it so that Sabalenka could overtake her if things happen a certain way at this year's Roland Garros. As the defending champion, Swiatek could lose a lot of points and if she doesn't have a deep run she could be in trouble.
Sabalenka exited early last year which makes any deep run for her very profitable in terms of earning points and that's the perfect storm for a change at the top.

The Polish player was asked about that during her press conference in Paris and her response was hilarious. She wasn't even aware that it's a possibility showing how little she cared about that. Her response was a resounding 'no' when asked if she was thinking about possibly losing the number one spot.
