Elina Svitolina is playing well at
Wimbledon and she is cheering for her native Ukraine in the EURO's as well.
The task for Ukraine will be tough as they will face England next and Svitolina was asked about that after her match. She said:
“It was a really amazing match yesterday, and I was extremely happy to see the team (Ukraine) winning. You know, we got this chance. It almost was like a Lucky Loser, you would say in tennis terms. But we really used it, and it was amazing that the
team was kind of playing well and composed."
The next match for Ukraine will be England and naturally, she was asked about that matchup as well. She said:
“We just have to go there and show our best. And we’re gonna do it because we are Team Ukraine. We never give up. We just go there and we fight until the end. We die on the field and we do our best."
If Svitolina moves on to R3 she will play on Saturday. There is a chance that she might play during the match and asked about it she said:
“I think there will be like two people watching my match. I’m used to it now after two years of not having people. I’m completely fine with that. I’m just happy to be playing here.”
