Williams' racquet from 2018 US Open Final defeat up for auction

The racquet from the 2018 US Open final which was mangled by Serena Williams has been put up for auction, it has been revealed.

The Wilson Blade racquet which was mangled; after Williams got irritated with umpire Carlos Ramos choice to penalise her three times throughout the contest.

It was then given to Goldin Auctions by a buyer who had purchased it at a collectable store; where it had been sold by a US Open ballboy called Justin Arrington-Holmes.

He will be likely kicking himself right now as the bidding stands at $4,250 as of time of writing; the auction closes on December 7.
