Women's part of day 5 in Melbourne features 4 former world no. 1's

Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, Ashleigh Barty and Caroline Wozniacki are all the players that led the WTA ranking during their careers and will appear on the courts in Melbourne during day 5.

Current no. 1 Ashleigh Barty will kick-off the Friday in Rod Laver Arena. Supported by the home fans, she will be facing 29th seeded Elena Rybakina. Another former world number 1, Serena Williams will appear on the court right after the Aussie. 23-time Grand Slam champion will be facing Qiang Wang in her 3rd appearance in Melbourne this year.
The night session in Rod Laver Arena will be opened by two youngsters. Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff will meet in a highly-anticipated rematch of the 2019 US Open 3rd round clash.
Ekaterina Alexandrova and Petra Kvitova will be the first women to play in Margaret Court Arena during the fifth day. They will be followed by Madison Keys and Maria Sakkari and Shuai Zhang with Sofia Kenin will close the day in the third biggest venue in Melbourne Park.
Ons Jabeur will challenge another former leader of the WTA ranking, Caroline Wozniacki. The Danish player should end her career after the Australian Open as this could be her last match in Melbourne and in her career. Fans will see the players also in 1573 Arena when Alison Riske will take on Julia Goerges.
