WTA Race to Finals Update: Swiatek and Kontaveit move up

After a busy week of tennis in the Persian Gulf, we have a new WTA Race listing where Swiatek and Kontaveit moved up.

The WTA 1000 event in Doha was held with Iga Swiatek playing Anett Kontaveit in the final. Both had an amazing event but ultimately it was the Polish player who prevailed in the final quite easily. The good result by both allowed them to move up in the WTA Race to the Finals. Ashleigh Barty is still leading comfortably but Iga Swiatek is not far behind after the triumph in Doha.

She is only about 500 points behind at number two with Kontaeit another 600 points behind her. Maria Sakkari also moved up in the race with the Greek player at number 7. Significant moves were made by Muguruza who jumped 11 spots to number 20, Gauff who jumped 20 to number 26 and Bouzkvoa who jumped 23 spots to number 27.
