WTA Race Update: Swiatek emerges at No. 1 ahead of Barty and Sakkari

After two strong weeks of WTA tennis we have a new leader of the WTA Race as Swiatek emerged at the top with an additional 1000 points.

Iga Swiatek won the Indian Wells trophy and that earned her an additional 1000 points. With those points she emerged on top of the race rankings firmly ahead of Barty who is number two. Another solid run pushed Maria Sakkari to number 3 overall ahead of Anett Kontaveit who is number 4. Madison Keys is currently number 5 with Collins at 6.

Paula Badosa lost some points after failing to defend her tropyh from last year nd she is ranked 7th. Jelena Ostapenko is not far behind at number 8 with Simona Halep moving to number 9 after a strong run last week. The top 10 is rounded out by Barbora Krejcikova who was not in action last week and won't play in Miami this week eiter. Check out the top 30 below.
