WTA Ranking update: New no. 1 Osaka, Andreescu reaches career-high

Osaka won the battle for the first place of WTA Ranking with Pliskova at the Rogers Cup and became the new world leader.

But one battle is over and another one begins when after the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati there can be 3 women on the first place - Osaka, Pliskova and Barty.

By far the biggest mover in the ranking was Marie Bouzkova, who moved 38 places to 53rd after losing in the semi-final at the Rogers Cup with Serena Williams.

Of course, a big shift was also seen by the champion Andreescu, who moved by 13 positions. And noteworthy is the move of Sofia Kenin, who lost with Andreescu in the semi-final of the tournament in Toronto. Kenin moved 7 places to 22nd position.
