WTA Rankings Update: Parks rises 28 spots after Lyon Trophy Run

After a solid week of tennis, we have new WTA Rankings that saw some players like Parks and Andreescu rise while the top 10 remained unchanged.

Not many tennis players played in the previous week with the events in Hua Hin and Lyon but we did see Alycia Parks announce herself in a major way. She defeated Caroline Garcia in her hometown Lyon in front of a packed crowd never buckling under pressure. The effort earned her a trophy and a rise in the rankings.

She moved up 28 spots to number 51 narrowly missing out on making her top 50 debut. It's coming sooner rather than later as she's in action in Linz this week too. Bianca Andreescu moved up after her Hua Hin efforts as well as she's number 37 right now. The trophy went to Lin Zhu who moved up 13 spots overall to number 41.

Lesia Tsurenko made a surprise run to the final in Thailand and she moved up the most (36 spots) to number 100. Check out the rest of the rankings below.
