The 2021 Sardegna Open returns this year as an event set to open to European clay season running from April 5th till April 11th.
The event is one of two that will get the red clay season underway in Europe and with a prize pool of €408,800 it enticed some of the best to attend. There will be seven players in the top 50 attending with the top seed being Dan Evans.
Besides him we will get to see Taylor Fritz, Nikoloz Basilasvhili and Jan Lennard Struff. The Italian will rest their hopes on Lorenzo Sonego in an overall competitive field that will be eyeing the trophy, The event was renewed on a one-year license following the 2020 season where it debuted in October.
The winner of the event will win 250 ATP points and €40,100. The losing player in the final will get a consolation prize of €28,750 and 150 ATP points, while the semifinalists will bag 90 ATP points and €20,465.
