The
BMW Munich Open is the first of four German tournaments on the season's ATP Tour calendar, running from April 25-May 1 and contested in Bavaria’s picturesque capital city of Munich.
The ATP 250 event has been dominated by German's in recent years, with three title runs for Philipp Kohlschreiber (2007, '12, '16) and back-to-back victories for
Alexander Zverev (2017-'18).
This year's event will feature Zverev as the top seed, alongside Norwegian
Casper Ruud and Houston champion
Reilly Opelka. Defending champion Nikoloz Basilashvili will present in an attempt to retain his title, although he will have to compete against Britain's Daniel Evans, Christian Garin and Alexander Bublik.
