The Open Parc Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Lyon is one of five ATP Tour events held in France, and is traditionally hosted in the city of Lyon a week before the French Open.
An ATP 250 clay-court event, the Lyon Open features some of France's brightest stars, in addition to international players who would like to get more matches under their belts before Roland Garros.
Although Stefanos Tsitsipas will not be defending the title he won last year, 2021 Indian Wells champion Cameron Norrie will be present as the top seed. Pablo Carreno Busta and Gael Monfils are scheduled to compete. 2017 Lyon champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will be making his last stop in Lyon, as the Frenchman announced he plans to retire following the French Open.
