The 2022 Basel Open will be the 51st edition of the event with a pretty big prize pool of €2,135,350 and a packed field.
The event will feature the US Open finalist at the top two seeds with Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud attending. They are not the only big teams attending this event which has grown to be one of the biggest ATP 500 events due to Federer's commitment to always come.
He won't play this year as he retired but he'll certainly be there in some capacity. Perhaps he'll present the trophy that comes along with a €399,320 cheque for the winner. The losing player in the final will get €214,855 with the semi-finalists getting €114,505.
