The schedule and Order of Play has been confirmed for Thursday, July 4th, as the fourth day of action at 2024 Wimbledon continues. Thursday will see the completion of the second round and the determination of the remaining Last 32.

The main attractions of the day include another appearance by the 7-times champion Novak Djokovic and the world No. 1 Iga Swiatek on Center Court, as well as the inclusion of former world No. 1 Andy Murray in the day's closing match. Our preview looks ahead to the key matches on Day Four at SW19.

Men’s draw – bottom half

The bottom half of the men's draw is led by world No. 2 Novak Djokovic, who had an impressive first-round performance with a straight sets victory over Vit Kopriva, conceding only 5 games. Just a few days ago, Djokovic's appearance in the draw was uncertain following knee surgery just 3 weeks ago.

British sensation Jack Draper will animate an intriguing match for the local crowd against former top-10 player Cameron Norrie, a semifinalist in 2022, while 4th seed Alexander Zverev faces Marcos Giron.

Polish player Hubert Hurkacz (7th seed) faces a tough challenge against young Frenchman Arthur Fils, making his first appearance in the second round of SW19. Other notable matches include Alex De Minaur vs Jaume Munar, Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Emil Ruusuvuori, and Alejandro Tabilo vs Flavio Cobolli.

Women’s draw – top half

The standout match of the day will surely be world No. 1 and 4-times Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek facing off against Croatian Petra Martic, who has shown good adaptation to grass. Swiatek defeated former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin in the first round and will once again face a strong opponent in her quest to advance at SW19Iga

2022 champion Elena Rybakina will also feature prominently when she meets German Laura Siegemund. Former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki faces a tough challenge against Canadian Leyla Fernandez, who has had strong campaigns in recent weeks and is the 30th seed.

2023 semifinalist Beatriz Haddad Maia awaits a South American clash at the All England Club grass when she takes on former world No. 33 Camila Osorio. Other intriguing matches include Danielle Collins vs Dalma Galfi, Ons Jabeur vs Robin Montgomery, and a local showdown between Katie Boulter and Harriet Dart.

The stars return to the court after a tough first round that saw several surprises in both the men's and women's draws. The WTA suffered some significant withdrawals such as Aryna Sabalenka, Victoria Azarenka, and Ekaterina Alexandrova, while seeded men like Andrey Rublev, Sebastian Korda, and Nicolas Jarry exited quickly in the first round.
