The third round continues at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships on Saturday 6 July with the schedule/order of play now confirmed for Day Six in SW19 as the rain hit Friday sees a stacked Saturday.

Our preview looks ahead to the action as usual with Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina in action. The latter facing Caroline Wozniacki. Andy Murray also likely plays his final match ever at the Championships. He teams with Emma Raducanu tomorrow evening.

Norrie-Zverev, Jabeur-Svitolina and Djokovic set for Centre Court

Interestingly it was mooted pre tournament that every big name would be on Court No.1 at least once but Novak Djokovic plays his third match on the spin on Centre Court.

It is a bit of a strange one too given what is on Court No.1 at a similar time but we will come onto that. He faces Alexei Popyrin. A mark of his grass court game perhaps is the fact he was the last player to be defeated by Andy Murray in singles at Queen's.

But given that Djokovic looked slightly vulnerable against Jacob Fearnley anything realistically could happen. They play last up on Centre Court. Prior to that is two of the stars of last year's tournament floating under the radar.

Novak Djokovic gets third Centre Court placing in a row. Too much?

Ons Jabeur has reached the last two finals but thus has been her form since last year and the toll the defeat took on her, she has barely been discussed. As the Simple Minds song goes Don't You Forget About Me and it certainly is that. But she plays Elina Svitolina who is not having the year she had last year. But she was phenomenal last time out and will hope to recall some of those happy memories.

As will Cameron Norrie who was losing to most players for the past four months. He was badly ill after Indian Wells and bedbound and many expected Jack Draper to coast past him. But not to be as he faces Alexander Zverev who has looked good so far. The German has been poor on the surface in the past but is looking up and could take a big scalp against the Brit this time around.

Raducanu/Murray in mixed doubles

That game previously mooted as being on at the same time sees two of Britain's biggest tennis names (currently active) playing together in potentially Andy Murray's penultimate match.

In any way, it is basically the last time he will play at Wimbledon. Raducanu said yes straight away to the proposal. She is still involved in singles and going well. Perhaps though it was put on No.1 Court as he had his Centre Court farewell on Thursday. But it is one that no doubt will be heavily featured at prime time on Saturday night in the UK.

Others in action on Number One court are Iga Swiatek who perhaps has something to worry about in facing Yulia Putintseva. A player known to cause her problems in the past, she is also formidable on grass and won Birmingham pre-tournament. The first real test for her.

Elena Rybakina also will face off against Caroline Wozniacki in one of the ties of the day. The former champion against a resurgent former World No.1 and a present v past clash at its finest with Wozniacki aiming to rejoin the elite of Rybakina.

Elsewhere, Harriet Dart continues her campaign albeit on a lower court. While Daniil Medvedev and Ben Shelton are two of the biggest names not to finish matches, Taylor Fritz, Anna Kalinskaya and Danielle Collins also continue their campaigns elsewhere.
