Adrian Mannarino wins 2022 Winston-Salem Open

The favourite to win it before the match started ended up getting it as Mannarino defeated Djere 7-6(1) 6-4.

There is very little surprising about this result as Laslo Djere is not known as a very strong player on hard courts. He took advantage of a strong draw to put himself in this position but all of his matches went to three sets and it left him quite drained.

The final was okay for him but he lacked the necessary level to sustain a very good start that had him up 3-1. Mannarino was able to take the lead back and then wait for his chance to take control of the match. It came in the tiebreak as the Serbian lost it 1-7.

The second set was simpler for Mannarino as he was now in fully rhythm controlling the pace of play well. Djere was unable to produce anything of note as the Frenchman had an easy-going on his own serve. He patiently waited for a chance to close out the match and it came midway through the set.

Mannarino broke him for the 5-3 lead and finished it off 6-4.
