Andrey Rublev played a really strong match to come back and win against Stefanos Tsitsipas advancing to the semi-final 3-6 6-3 6-2.
The Russian player started the event off well but it came down to this match and a very tricky opponent. He has had his trouble against Tsitsipas but he played him really close indoors so far. This was another good match between them but Tsitsipas jumped out to an early 4-1 lead.
From there, he was able to control the pace of play really well holding his serve and finishing off the set 6-3. It was just a perfect set of play from Tstsipas as he served really well hitting 12 winners and no unforced errors.
Rublev was quite aggressive the entire match but he only found a good rhythm later on. Both did not serve as well in the second set but Rublev played far better from the baseline. It finally started to work in his favour and he took the second set 6-3. The final one was the Russian at his best as he outplayed Tsitsipas convincingly to take it 6-2.
