Andy Murray didn't start the season in Australia as he had hoped as he tested positive shortly before he was scheduled to depart to Australia.
Now fully fit and recovered Andy will start his 2021 campaign in less glamorous fashion at the Biella Challenger 1 where he was awarded a wild card for the main draw. Having missed the opportunity to play in Australia, Andy decided to take every opportunity to play competitive tennis as there is no proper substitute for competitive matches. Getting match-ready and in shape will prove crucial for Andy who is eager to return to the top of world tennis in the following months.
The event organisers are very happy to have him there as he should draw the interest of the media at least as fans are not yet able to attend any sporting events in Italy. We can't wait to see the former number one on the courts again and hopefully, he will be back with the big boys in no time.
