Andy Murray was trailing 1-2 when the match got suspended in order to close the roof and that proved very beneficial for Murray who won the match in the end.
Andy Murray played against Oscar Otte in the 2nd round of Wimbledon and he came back from 1-2 down to defeat the German 6-3 4-6 4-6 6-4 6-2. It started well for Murray who moved well and absorbed the aggression of Otte fairly well. The German was playing inspired tennis but ultimately he lost the set.
The 2nd set was an interesting one as Murray started off well being a bit more aggressive which caught Otte by surprise. Murray took an early 3-1 lead but things fell apart after that. He committed a few cheap errors and ended up with 9 in total compared to Otte's 7 and that proved key.
The 3rd set was another interesting one as both players played well but Otte just proved better in several key rallies that gave him the break and lead. He would win the 3rd set with 6-4 putting Murray on the brink of elimination. After that, the game got suspended in order to close the roof.
Upon return, Murray played much better and he took a 4-2 lead. At 5-3, he served for the set but Otte broke him to give himself a chance to elve it at 5-5. It never happened and Murray won it with 6-4. That completely messed up Otte who came out flat in the 5th with Murray taking an early lead.
From there it was cruise control for Murray who won the marathon match in sensational fashion. The match lasted well over three hours and it drained both players.
