The British team were the hosts of their group with matches being played in Glasgow however they failed losing to both the US and the Netherlands.
Their final tie is today but it won't matter much as they are already eliminated from the competition and won't play at the
Davis Cup Finals in Malaga. It was a huge disappointment for Murray personally as he's unsure whether he'll play in the Davis Cup anymore:
“When you get to my age and this stage of your career, I don’t know how many opportunities I’ll get to still be part of this team. We’ve got a lot of depth now in the singles and the doubles. Because of that, it makes it tougher. I’m thinking the same thing right now … should I have played or should Neal have played.”
