The Netflix Slam took place in Las Vegas last Sunday evening as superstars Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz went head to head in an exhibition clash, with Alcaraz coming out on top in a third set 10-point tiebreak.
Among the stars attending the event was
Andre Agassi who was in the commentary booth with
Andy Roddick, and the latter was very excited to be on the air alongside one of his idols. "For me it's like, anytime there's a chance to hang out with Andre, I'm pumped. And if I'm getting paid for it, even better, you know? But it was really fun. I really enjoyed it," Roddick said on his podcast
Served with Andy Roddick.
Despite enjoying the occasion, Roddick admitted there wasn't enough time in the broadcast to talk about things outside the match with Agassi. "I mean, I was there with him. You could tell that he has all this bottled up knowledge that he just wants to release. And frankly speaking, we did seven minutes off the top, with four people at a desk, you're not gonna have Andre get on one of his legendary monologues."
Roddick hopes one day he can get the eight-time major champion on his show. "I'm always there for it. I think it's fascinating. I hope that we have him on and, you know, we'll certainly give him all the space he needs anytime."
