The Astana Open returns in 2020 with another great event featuring some good tennis and it all starts today with 5 good matches.
The Astana Open 2020 kicks off on Monday with a good schedule of play featuring 5 matches on opening day. The programme will start at 10:00 CET with Dimitry Popko taking on Radu Albot. Popko will be looking to start off his campaign with a victory on home soil. Albot hasn't played very well recently so Popko will fancy his chances in front of his home fans. The next match will be between Tommy Paul and Stefano Travaglia. Two players who have recently played on the clay courts will try out the hard courts of Nur-Sultan in an interesting matchup.
The programme will continue with Verdasco taking on Duckworth. Verdasco is still playing solid tennis and he will be looking to play a good match on Monday. After them, we will see a strong matchup between Norrie and Thompson. Both of them play their best tennis on hard courts and Norrie has been putting on good performances lately. He will look to continue against the struggling Australian. The last match of the day is scheduled to start at 13:00 CET and it's a match between Moutet and Tiafoe. Both of them have been playing very good tennis as of late and the Frenchman as all Frenchmans enjoys playing indoors. The American won't be an easy opponent but there is no glory in an easy victory.
