With the conclusion of the ATP 500 Japan Open and China Open tournaments, the most recent champions on the Tour were
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner—who are also No. 1 and No. 2 in both the ATP rankings and the Prize Money race this season. Between them, they have surpassed $28 million in earnings and remain far ahead of their pursuers.
The two best players of the season reflect their on-court dominance in their bank accounts as well. Alcaraz, after securing his 8th title of the season, reached $16 million in earnings, while Sinner reached $12.3 million, also boosted by his ATP 500 title.
Meanwhile, the chasing pack is led by those who performed best at the Grand Slam tournaments: Novak Djokovic—a semifinalist in all four majors this season—and Alexander Zverev—the Australian Open finalist—who are both comfortably over $4.5 million in earnings. The gap from third place to second place is more than $7.5 million.
With few commitments remaining, there are unlikely to be significant movements among the top earners. The entire Top 11 have surpassed $3 million in earnings, with Jack Draper and Casper Ruud among those who owe their high prize money to Masters 1000 titles. To date, 23 players have surpassed $2 million in earnings, 32 players are over $1.5 million, and up to 67 players are above the $1 million mark in 2025 season earnings.
Alcaraz remains uncatchable at the top of earnings list
There were no major movements among the ATP
prize money leaders amid a strange week. Unlike most of the calendar—where updates occur after tournaments conclude on Sundays—this time, the Asian swing compressed the schedule, and Tokyo and Beijing concluded on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
Carlos Alcaraz remains unmovable at the top, with a lead of more than $3.7 million over Sinner. Even with his absence from the Shanghai Masters, the Italian has no chance of catching him, even if he were to win the title. Nevertheless, Sinner has chances to narrow the gap and could even surpass Alcaraz if he has important campaigns and significantly outperforms him at the upcoming ATP Finals.
Further back are Djokovic and Zverev—both over $4.5 million—who are closely followed by Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton—the last players to pass the $4 million barrier. The Top 10 is completed by Alex de Minaur, Lorenzo Musetti, Jack Draper, and Félix Auger-Aliassime.
