Casper Ruud and Pablo Carreno Busta made moves on the latest ATP Rankings both moving up as Medvedev holds number one for one more week.
Daniil Medvedev is still world number one but the Russian could find himself in another spot next Monday if he fails to reach the quarterfinal in Cincinnati. The player who could move him from that spot is Rafael Nadal and the Spaniard needs to win the event to make that happen. The difference is only 1200 points so it could happen.
It also marked the first time since 2009 that a number one has had less than 7000 points. In other news, Casper Ruud made some moves as well, moving up to number 5 after his run to the semi-final. Pablo Carreno Busta won the event and he moved up 9 spots to number 14. Other players that moved up include Dan Evans who moved from 39 to 23 and Nick Kyrgios who moved from 37 to 28.
John Isner went the other way and he's ranked at number 50 barely staying in the top 50. The American is pretty consistent but age seems to be catching up with him. Check out the full list below.
