Felix Auger-Aliassime won his first ATP title last week at the Rolex Masters in Paris after winning the doubles title with Hurkacz.

It's a curiosity as many expected Auger to win his first title in the singles category where he is an established player for quite some time now. There were plenty of opportunities as the Canadian played 6 finals but lost all of them. But after winning his first title which came in doubles he said:
“It’s a good thing. I’m happy that I won a title regardless of whether it was in singles or doubles. Obviously, I’m still looking for that first singles title, but it will come when it has to come, when I deserve it.”
His next chance for success will come in Sofia where he will be one of the better-ranked players. Speaking of that he said:
“I don’t have a crystal ball. Every week is a chance for me. You play a tournament, you try to win. I’ve lost some first rounds this year, I’ve made some finals. It’s been up and down at times and yet I try my best ever week to go all the way. I will do the same here this week, but who knows what will happen. I will try to get through this first round and give myself the best chances [to win].”
It will be his last event this year in what was an up and down year for him. Asked about his future plans he simply responded with:
“In the end I just want to raise my level to one day be the best player I can be.”
