Auger-Aliassime comes back against Dzumhur and more from Day 2 in Montpellier

Day 2 at the 2020 Open Sud de France in Montpellier brought a lot of action as it also featured the match of the 5th-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Tuesday was a day full of youngsters and interesting matchups in Montpellier. Alexander Bublik opened the day when he turned the match against Henri Laaksonen after losing the first set 6-7. Then, two NextGen players, Mikael Ymer and Jannik Sinner fought for their spot in the 2nd round.
Despite the efforts of the young Italian, Ymer managed to win the match in just two sets. Another promising talent, Emil Ruusuvuori will also play in the second round after defeating Dennis Novak.
Home fans were disappointed first after Enzo Couacaud lost to Filip Krajinovic in just two sets 4-6, 4-6. However, Pierre-Hugues Herbert was there to save the day for the fans in Montpellier with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Sergiy Stakhovsky.
The play was closed by the biggest star of the day. World number 21, Felix Auger-Aliassime faced Damir Dzumhur. The Canadian experienced minor difficulties against the qualifier from Bosna and Herzegovina after losing the first set. However, he was able to come back in the second and third to set up a 2nd round meeting with Herbert.
