Auger-Aliassime continues to be a problem on the ATP Tour as he defeated Tiafoe 6-1 6-4 to move to the semi-finals.
Auger-Aliassime is playing for the 4th week in a row and the Canadian is not slowing down showing incredible tennis, by far the best he has ever played. Tiafoe has been really strong in recent weeks as well but he was no match in this one as Auger jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.
The Canadian took the opening set 6-1 hitting 11 winners to only 3 unforced errors. He took advantage of some erratic tennis by Tiafoe who could not get anything going. The second set was quite competitive but once again Auger was far better.
He took an early lead and focused mostly on his own serve showing tremendous confidence and calmness. He finished it off 6-4 to book a spot in the semi-finals. Eight aces, 26 winners and 13 unforced errors with zero break points faced. Magnifique!

Felix Auger Aliassime can’t stop winning, beats Frances Tiafoe 6-1, 6-4 for a 16th consecutive win. Into the semifinals in Paris! Next? A rematch of the Basel semifinal vs. Alcaraz or a rematch of the Basel final vs. Rune.
