Boris Becker missed last year's Wimbledon due to being in prison but according to rumors he might be returning to his BBC post following his prison stint.
According to Becker himself, he's had a talk with BBC about returning to a role with the broadcaster for the Wimbledon Championship. He was part of the coverage team for many years and fans grew accustomed to him being present at the event. He followed last year's event from prison due to his sentencing earlier in the year but he's out and free now.
Upon being released, Becker returned to Eurosport but always hoped to get his spot at BBC back because it's a role he enjoyed thoroughly. He was also returned to Germany following his prison stint with a rule in place not allowing him to return to the UK for a minimum of 10 years which made it seem his time at BBC is over.
However, it seems like that might not be as strictly enforced but rather only until his full prison sentence expires which would be in 2024. He could technically return to the country that year but that means he would need to work remotely for Wimbledon. It remains to be seen whether any of this is true as BBC has made no comment.
