Boris Becker will return to his role as a tennis commentator but he won't be part of the Wimbledon coverage team as his United Kingdom entry ban is still in place.
The ban to enter the country will be in place for the full duration of his original prison sentence which means that Becker won't be able to attend Wimbledon this year or next year. He was a regular part of the BBC coverage team for the event but he won't be in the future and that's something he'll miss dearly.
It's no secret that Wimbledon is his favourite event and that he attended it every year since retiring from tennis. He will be part of tennis coverage in the future as he's already been hired by Eurosport for their coverage of the Australian Open. He will do it remotely from a Munich studio though and won't travel to Melbourne.
Becker was recently released from a British prison after serving 8 months of his two and half year prison sentence.
