Coco Gauff admitted that the ASB Classic in Auckland is not shaping up the way she wanted it to but she's happy about being on the court and competing.

Tennis players that arrived in Auckland did not expect to play indoor tennis with no crowd and Coco Gauff is no exception. She called the rainy weather and situation that followed less than ideal but she's just happy about being on the court and competing. She talked about her most recent match which she called a great one:

“It was a really great match for me. Each match I’m improving and that’s what I love to see. She’s not an easy player obviously, beating Venus yesterday and she was probably coming off a lot of momentum. But I was glad I was able to stay focused.”

She does miss the crowd and being outdoors:

“It’s not the ideal conditions to play in, no fans and I’m sad they can’t see the matches. But at the end of the day it’s tennis and I’m glad to be on the court.”
