As the grass-court swing progresses, one of the most interesting events will be the WTA Eastbourne Open, running from June 23 to June 28, 2025, in the city of Eastbourne. Our TV Guide will provide all the information to closely follow another week of competition, in the week leading up to the start of Wimbledon.
The tournament will feature defending champion Daria Kasatkina as the main favorite for the title, alongside the 2024 Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova, who will be looking to continue building rhythm on the surface before her title defense at SW19. Last year, 'Dasha' defeated Leylah Fernandez in the final to claim her first title on grass.
They will be joined by other former Grand Slam champions, all looking to gain momentum before Wimbledon. Former Roland Garros champion Jelena Ostapenko (No. 19), former Aussie Open champion Sofia Kenin, and former US Open champion Emma Raducanu will all be part of a very open main draw that could be key for anticipating who is in the best form heading into Wimbledon.

Predictions
Samuel Gill, Head Editor for TennisUpToDate.com sees a main protagonist who will defend her title in Eastbourne.
Daria Kasatkina for me is the standout name in this ield and I would also add Barbora Krejcikova if she harbours any ambitions of retaining Wimbledon.
These sort of players will rise to the occasion in the week leading up to Wimbledon. Emma Raducanu is also intriguing to me as she plays a smaller field. The Berlin gamble didn't pay off as she had to withdraw.
But presumably it was to be ready for Eastbourne so I would also throw her into the mix. Also I like the look of a group of players such as Maya Joint, Peyton Stearns and Elina Avanesyan. Tatjana Maria and Amanda Anisimova proved in Queen's that those who perhaps are on the fringes can perform. So I see them as being potential dark horses.
Maya Joint thrives outside of majors so is a good outside shot.
