Ben Shelton announces relationship with famous soccer player Trinity Rodman

America’s Ben Shelton has announced his relationship with US women’s soccer team player Trinity Rodman. The 22-year-old is already regarded as one of the most talented men’s tennis players in the singles category.

Shelton, in a post on his official account on the social media platform Instagram, announced his relationship with Rodman. The development comes soon after the Atalanta-born star featured at the Indian Wells, where he was knocked out after losing in the quarterfinal to eventual winner Jack Draper in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 7-5.

Shelton’s girlfriend, Rodman, is a well-known sporting figure in the US. She has already represented the national side in 46 matches and played a key role in helping the side win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics last year. At the club level, she plays for the Washington Spirit, and she has represented the side more than 100 times.

On the other hand, Draper is going through a bit of a mixed season. The world number 14 had a disastrous start to the 2025 campaign, where he was knocked out from the ASB Classic after losing to Jakub Mensik with a score of 7-6, 4-6, 7-5. He returned with a big performance at the Australian Open, where his journey ended at the semifinal stage after losing to reigning world number one Italy’s Jannik Sinner in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 6-2, 6-2.

After that, Shelton had two disappointing outings at the Dallas Open and the Mexican Open before playing in the quarterfinals at the Indian Wells. He will next play at the Miami Open, where he will get a bye in the first round. He will start his competition in the round of 64. The two-time Grand Slam semifinalist will also feature in the doubles category, where he and his partner Alex Michelsen will play against the pair of Sebastian Korda and Jordan Thompson in the round of 32.
