Five years ago today, a man came from the future to tell us that 17-year-old Sinner vs 15-year-old Alcaraz was the most important match of the year
Amid recent battles between the pair and the duo being seen as the two top players to take tennis forward post Big Three, a bizarre prediction was made relating to Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner that came true.
The account SvenARG saw his tweet from 2019 resurface this past Tuesday which said that the match between Sinner and Alcaraz is the most important match of the year. Journalist Bastien Fachan reposted the tweet and said that he came from the future to tell us this feat between a 15 and 17-year-old at the time was going to happen.
One fan commented back and said: "Nobody in Argentina knows more about tennis than this guy, he is a f***ing GOAT." Another also pointed out a coincidence also surrounding the pair and Lorenzo Musetti.
During that time, it was the first Challenger win for the 2003 generation. A day earlier, Lorenzo Musetti reached the same milestone, but for the 2002 generation. Alcaraz and Musetti like Alcaraz and Sinner both met recently with the former taking place at the Miami Open.
Also both shared the recent Sunshine Double titles with Alcaraz defeating Sinner en route to winning Indian Wells. Sinner won through at the Miami Open. While some touted the rise of this duo, none like this one account seemed to predict it to this degree of accuracy and almost to the date too.
