Former World No.2
Casper Ruud had a subpar 2023 season, finishing the year with just one title amidst several early round exits and some disappointing performances.
The Norwegian, who at one point was close to claiming the World No.1 ranking last year, suffered several upsets that saw him lose the chance to climb up the rankings. Although he won a title at Estoril this year, his early Grand Slam exits saw him drop in the rankings, after finishing as World No.3 last year.
De Minaur withdrawal pushes Ruud even further down the table
Australian
Alex De Minaur was scheduled to participate at the
Moselle Open in Metz this week, but opted to withdraw at the last minute. Strangely enough, De Minaur's withdrawal saw Ruud lose ranking points, meaning the Norwegian would finish the year ranked World No.11.
