Former world number one Boris Becker has completed his first assignment as a coach of Denmarkโ€™s Holger Rune.
The 55-year-old joined the coaching staff of the current world number seven after series of disappointing results in the recent past.
Beckerโ€™s arrival has brought about a positive impact on the performance of Rune who managed to win some key matches.
Those victories were enough for the 20-year-old to book his place in the upcoming ATP Finals event which was the first task given to Becker when he joined the backroom staff.
Runeโ€™s journey in the ongoing Paris Masters came to an end in the quarterfinal where he suffered a defeat to the current world number one Serbiaโ€™s Novak Djokovic with a score of 7-5, 6-7, 6-4.
Before facing the 24-time Grand Slam winner, the Gentofte-born produced some impressive results in the competition.
He defeated one-time Grand Slam winner Austriaโ€™s Dominic Thiem in the round of 64 tie with in straight sets a score of 6-4, 6-2.
Later, Rune also went on to beat Germanyโ€™s Daniel Altmaier in the second round in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-3.
Rune will be joined by seven other elite players in the ATP Finals which will be played in the Italian city of Turin later this month.
