Britain’s tennis star
Cameron Norrie has asked a private airline
to find his bag so that he can take part in the United Cup. The 2024 season
will begin with the competition to be played in Perth from December 29.
The 28-year-old, in a post on his post on social media
platform X — previously known as Twitter — asked the airline to find his bag where
he has shoes as well ahead of the competition. “Would be nice to have my tennis
shoes for Xmas @Qantas please find my bag,” he wrote.
Norrie will be hoping that he will finally have his bag and shoes
with him as he will look to have a much better season than the one he had in
2023.
The world number 18 played in the main round of all four
Grand Slams but could not manage to qualify for the fourth round or beyond in
any of the mega-events.
The highlight of the year for the Johannesburg-born came in
February when he clinched the ATP 500 title in Brazil’s city of Rio de Janeiro where
he got the better of the current world number two Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in the
final with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.
